Aacre’s Licensed Staff Residential or “LSR” program is a residentially-based program specially tailored for children and young adults up to the age of 21.

The Aacre’s LSR program, staff and leaders work together with families, the Division of Licensed Resources, the Division of Developmental Disabilities and other state agencies to support children and young adults with development disabilities in a 24-hour licensed and staff residential environment.

In this environment, we work with family and case managers to ensure the unique needs of each of our clients are met daily. These include daily living activities, meal preparation, hygiene care and medication administration. If needed, Aacres has a team of qualified nursing staff to accommodate special medical needs and conditions. Additionally, we work with the local school districts and a clinical behavior team to ensure educational and behavioral plans are supported and carried out at the home throughout the day.

While parents and family play a critical role in community integration and outings, the staff in Aacre’s LSR programs also support and host community access activities and outings on a regular basis. This includes transportation, scheduling and coordination.

Progress, power, choice and independence are all key in this fundamental program as we help children, young adults and their families prepare independence and possible participation in an adult supported living program.
